Welcome to the web site of US National League and R3PL East player Kaitlin Tighe - who is known as "Kaitzy" on the soccer field in the Southeastern USA.
Identified as a quick-study and fast developing '96 Florida youth soccer premier girls player, Kaitzy is in her 13th season of elite youth soccer play. She is team captain on both state cup teams she plays on - the Sunrise Sting 96/97 (U17 club team) who are Florida State Champions in 2013, and the St. Thomas Aquinas (high school) team who are the 2012 & 2014 state champs. The Sunrise Sting are also the 2013 Jefferson Cup U16 Showcase Premier Champions. Kaitzy and her Sunrise team have a long history of wining major championships on the east coast of the USA. With her club team, Kaitzy successfully represented the state of Florida in the US Youth National League during 2012. Sunrise is ranked #1 in State of FL and as high as #38 nationally for their club age group by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
The Sunrise Sting are the R3PL East Fall 2013 league champions where they defeated state cup championship teams from NC, SC, GA and FL. During the spring 2012 season the Sting was one of 16 teams participating in the US Youth Soccer National League tournament series where Kaitzy was identified as a U15 "player to watch" by US Club Soccer.
Kaitzy and her club team have delivered winning results consistently over the years in the US Youth Soccer Region III Premier League East (R3PLE) where they finished in 3rd place out of 10 teams in 2011 and 2nd place in 2012.
In high school, Kaitzy plays on the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders (Ft Lauderdale) varsity soccer team which went undefeated in-state with an overall record of 24-1-1 under Coach Carlos Giron in 2012. In the 2012 State Championship game, Kaitzy scored with less than 4 minutes remaining in regulation time to send the championship game into overtime where the Raiders would go on to win.

Kaitzy was named "team player of the week" by the Miami Herald (Broward County Edition) newspaper for her leadership efforts in the state championship game and the St. Thomas Aquinas team selected her "athlete of the week" in recognition of her accomplishments in the pursuit of their state championship. Kaitzy was named MVP by the apposing coaches at the Timberwolf High School Classic in Tallahassee FL in Dec. 2012.
In 2014 Kaitzy was the team captain for Aquinas in her senior year where the Raiders won their 3rd Florida State Championship in 4 years! St. Thomas is consistently nationally ranked in the top 10 by ESPN FAB 50 over the past 4 season. The team finished 20-3-2. At the end of the season Kaitzy was selected by the Sun Sentinel Orange Bowl committee as an outstanding athlete and named to the All-County (Broward) Class 5A-4A First Team for girls soccer.
In 2014 Kaitzy was also named to the elite Broward County All Star team to compete against Dade County in the annual US Army and Fort Lauderdale Strikers Futbol club match.
Kaitzy began playing competitive soccer at the age of 5 when she joined the AYSO Region 644 Soccer Club in Weston FL. She has played for many successful years leading her team to region, state & national tournament championships.
Kaitzy is in her Senior year at St. Thomas Aquinas where she achieves high academic placement with a 4.7 GPA.

Select South FL players attended an intense training session with Weston FC Soccer Club coach’s Carlos Parra & Gui Gui. This select group of girls are current representatives at ODP, id2 and the US National Training camps across the country. Over the years, Weston FC’s premier soccer program has been instrumental in helping with the development of these young soccer athletes thereby allowing them to aspire to FL State, Region III and national elite soccer playing levels.(Kaitzy - 2nd from the right front row)
